Bret Dudl Methods to Accommodate The New Goals By Lynn Bradley
Following are seven ways to take your career to next level. It is common knowledge that after you discover all there is to know about the routine of your comfort level, you become stagnated and cannot grow. It is dangerous to suddenly start operating out of your comfort level which is like a different world. There has to be an intermediate step that permits you to emerge from your shell without fear of destruction.
1. The more familiar you are with your surroundings, the better you will feel. Therefore, spend some time in an area you would like to move to, where you are not at ease. Simply observe how others proceed in this area. After a few short ventures to the outside you will begin to get your bearings and see how you can adapt your routine to be successful here.
2. Do not attempt to move to a new environment until you have researched it thoroughly and your plans are solid. It would be wise to get advice from friends you can trust who have experience there. Learning new ways of expanding your abilities and business, will require exploring new methods and making new acquaintances. You will have to adjust your methods to accommodate the new goals.
3. Before you can fulfill your dreams you must make room in your thinking for them. Enlarge your vision. Expand your expectations. If you are going to do bigger things, you have to learn to think bigger thoughts. People often fail to reach their dreams because the thought of it scares them to death. You have to get used to the idea and muster the courage to tackle it.
4. People are ignoring many opportunities. Few are learning a trade. There are thousands of welders now at retirement age with no trained welders to take their place. These companies will either have to train welders or go out of business. Few males are going to barber school or learning to work on watches and clocks. Mechanics, plumbers, carpenters and construction workers make good money.
5. In this information age it is easier than ever to become an entrepreneur. It could be relatively inexpensive and may not even require an office building. You might be able to work out of your home. Those with expertise in technical fields often become consultants for businesses. Some experts charge large fees for telling companies how to improve or save their failing business.
6. Most experienced workers have developed expertise that businesses are in need of. When you have a passion for something, you naturally become an expert. Learn to take advantage of it. You might be able to hire onto a company to train others in your field or be a consultant. Keep this in mind as you develop your talents.
7. There are many opportunities for those who can develop their imagination as they become experts in their field. Do not permit yourself to be taken advantage of. Keep your eyes and ears open for better opportunities with other companies. Keep up to date by learning skills that will be needed in the future. The sky is the limit for those who are willing to believe they can make it at the next level.
